A Trek to Remember...

Tic Tac, Tic Tac
Goes the footsteps,

Calm Drizzling night,
Empty Roads,
Howling Dogs, that quivered the body,
But, Fresh & Energetic,
Confident & Fearless,

Tic Tac, Tic,Tac
Goes the foot steps.

It was the Calm drizzling night, the roads were empty, howling of the dogs created a quiver in the whole body. No one dares to move out of their homes at 2:00AM. With the heavy luggage on the shoulders wearing a pants which resembles a military guy, I was moving alone on the streets to reach a place where all other people of similar interest as mine were going to gather.

It has been just 2 months since I'm in Chennai, and was out for an adventure. An adventure which I was unaware about, unaware about the dangers, unaware about the wildlife, unaware about the people I'm going to accompany. A place not known to me but most frequently visited by the CTC. It was a trek to Nagala East, which I was ready to pursue. ;)

We left for Nagala in a mini bus, full of "mosquitoes" :D.Yeah!! the li'l blood suckers, didn't allowed me to get sleep. Well, as the day broke I could see through the window, the huge lush green fields of wheat, the mango grooves, the mountains and huge landscapes. No sooner we reached the trekking spot we started dumping the food stuff in our luggage. The food that we were carrying was so much that I said, are we here for a trek or to do a picnic. Well, I realized later when all of us were exhausted.

The First Pool.
We started the trek from a dam, crossed a deserted land with chopped and burnt trees. It was a nice place to take some scary pics at night. :P Soon we were trekking into thorny bush, crossing the big boulders which lay on the stream. Some adventurers went stumbling down into water. It was a nice experience as we filled our water bottles from those small streams. Soon we reached the first pool and threw our luggage to take a dip. The pool was nice, with a small waterfall. It was a nice stress buster, some of us jumped from the big rock. It was fun.

Ferrying Luggage...
We were soon back on our way to the 2nd pool,
"THE DEAD END POOL". When I heard the name for the first time, I felt the same as one might feel reading the word "DEAD". But then some people told that it was a pool which we have to swim and cross as there is no other way. At the "DEAD END POOL" it was fun ferrying the luggage through the waters making them float with the help of swimming tubes. Thanks to those who can't swim, because they brought tubes with the help of which we managed to ferry our luggage.I heard some people shouting, "Dude!!! Be Careful with my Bag, I've a Camera." :D

After crossing this pool we took a halt to take a quick bite. It was Rava Khichdi on the menu. The fire was set and vessels were on, boiling water and some vegetables. Photographers got time to do some nice photography, and people like me found some nice rocks to take a quick nap before we can fill our empty bellies. When those who were sleeping woke up, they realized that their sleep was a compensation to them for Rava Khichdi. :(

Soon we were on our way again to the next pool, "THE PICNIC POOL". It was the pool where we were going to Camp. This trek was the most adventurous. We crossed a gorge, which was very challenging. We even had a weather forecast man or the 'jungle boy' "Aditya" who inspired and motivated us to move fast by giving forecasts "Guys, sun is not showing up, so it will be dark early, move fast to avoid trekking in the dark". And guess what, his forecast turned out to be true. We didn't reached our camping site on time and realized we have to trek in the dark.

You might have heard of a guy named "Murphy", he has some laws which says "If anything can go wrong, it will" & his other law says "Everything goes wrong at once". So, We were trekking in the dark, it started to rain cats & Dogs, and as if this was less, we lost our way. We didn't new what lay ahead of us, and soon were climbing a steep hill, with slippery mud. This was so dangerous that if someone from the front misses his step and slips he will take down, along with him, all of them climbing behind him.

But then by the Grace of God, and finding no other alternative we made it and reached picnic pool, in pitch dark. Some guys came early so they had tied the tarpaulin. Everyone who came tried to stuff in that small tarpaulin, as it was raining mercilessly.Don't ask how we spent the night, our hearts know it better.

The Perfect Dive!!!
Next morning was a lovely morning, though there wasn't much chirping of birds :), but the sound of water flowing delighted our mind. No sooner people started jumping in the pool some started showing their nice diving skills. We had a nice diver among us "Bunty Ranveer", I and some others were quite impressed by his diving. I don't know if people noticed, when he dived so perfectly and accurately from the center of the swimming tube. It was very impressive. The other thing I enjoyed in the picnic pool was the Fish Massage. Shoals of fish were nibbling my feet and it was such a wonderful experience. We had maggi, oranges and some biscuit for breakfast and were soon on our way back home. But on the way we shared some more joyous moments.

Fish Massage...!!! :D
We had to climb down a water fall and again ferry the luggage of the people. We used a rope to climb down and the most interesting thing was we used the tarpaulin to slide down the bags one after other. There were even some crazy guys who took the risk of sliding down the tarpaulin but that was fun. Here also swimmers were lot in demand. They helped non-swimmers to cross the stream and ferry the luggage. We, especially the swimmers had lots of fun here. I feel bad for those who can't swim as they weren't able to experience the fun we had. We did some really nice photography sessions here and did a lot of 'hulla gulla'.

After this, I was really tired and didn't wanted any other pool to cross but we still had one.

"THE DEAD END POOL"

Now this "DEAD END POOL" would have turned deadly for me if I didn't know swimming. I was really tired and while climbing through the rocks, somehow I slipped and went splashing down straight into the pool, with all my luggage. :-X
Some guys shouted to get me some help, but the diver I mentioned above standing besides me said "Don't worry he knows swimming". Well, ofcourse, I know swimming, but still I cried for help, "Dude!!!! Take my bag, I've a camera". :D

We were quite late and we had to hurry to reach back to the place where our bus was. So we trekked continously without stopping, we lost our way but a guy called "Shankar" who came to trek individually along with his group, helped us in finding the route.

We returned to the dam, from where we started. We relaxed there as we waited for others to return. Later after few 'HOURS' we came to know the group was divided into two and the others along with "Vishal-the trekk organiser" had gone to a sliding pool. It would have been 'OK' if they didn't lost their way. Again "Shankar" was of help and went on a search expedition for them. It was going to be dark so we made some fire and then thought to cook some soup, but then none of us had water, so the plan was cancelled and we went inside the bus eagerly waiting for them. Finally "Shankar" was successful in his expedition and safely brought them back to bus. :)
We took a sigh of relief and started for Chennai, we reached back at 1:00 and the same event goes again

Tarbiyah - Process of attaining the Higher Purpose.

I've been reading lot of parenting stuff for my 2 yr old. I came across a terminology "Tarbiyah"(an Urdu word)couldn't find an exact English word. Though it has a very deep meaning in Urdu but to understand we can define it as Upbringing. Tarbiyah is a process of molding a person to be a better human being. It involves much more than just intellect, skills & knowledge. It involves a person's heart, emotions and his soul. Every sensible person clearly knows the difference between right & wrong, legal & illegal. A person not having a proper Tarbiyah though is aware, doesn't care how he execute work. His heart doesn't stops him from doing wrong, he never feels guilty, as time passes he enjoy playing mischief. A person can have excellent skills as a public speaker, a computer programmer, a doctor, a cop, a lawyer or even as a head of the country but if he fails to put his skills to right use, his Tarbiyah is not proper. Lets say, an eloquent public

Corona Scare

Dear Muslim Brothers,  As Covid-19 has been declared as a pandemic, alhamdulillah India is still safer than other countries from its effect. As a Muslim a greater responsibility is assigned by our prophet (peace be upon him) 1400 years ago to take precautions of such pandemics.  Some people think the current Quarantine system as some kind of punishment for healthy humans because even healthy people are not allowed to move out and they feel they will catch the virus by staying in the same location. I would like you to remind about the hadith of our prophet (peace be upon him); "If you hear of an outbreak of plague in a land, do not enter it; but if the plague breaks out in a place while you are in it, do not leave that place. (Reported by Bukhari and Muslim.) " It means you should not leave the place even if you are healthy because the chances are you might be the carrier of the virus of that plague which may spread to other locations if you leave the place(even though yo

TRANQUILITY

Leaving office, stressed out but extremely happy on completing a project, I decided to go to the beach along with my friend; to spend some time away from this maddening life and get some fresh air. I even expected watching the sun descend slowly and disappear over the horizon of the Bay of Bengal. Reaching there, I realized that Bay of Bengal is in the east and I cannot bid a goodbye, but can only welcome the rising sun in the morning.  I was sitting there quietly, with my legs sprawled out in front of me, sometimes gazing at the infinite sky and sometimes watching the waves weave into each other. Strong cold breeze from the sea blew on my face and through my hair, taking all my fear, stress and anxiety with them. The cool waves touched my feet and subsided almost as quickly as they rose. Relaxing there, I sensed a feeling of freedom I had never experienced before.     A bit further, I saw some little boys and girls building sand castles. Within no time, the waves would wi
